Technician Course

This course is aimed at experienced heating engineers who wish to expand their knowledge & skills to include advanced fault finding and part replacement.

This course aims to develop a deep understanding of the complexities of the heat pump and what it’s driving logic is aiming to achieve. The content includes technician tool analysis, safe electrical testing, correct testing procedures, and various tricks and tips to diagnose quickly. Most Heat Pump problems arise from an inability to recognize a small number of crucial setting points, all these will be explained both in the classroom and reinforced on different working models in our state of the art, functioning plant room.

This is an inclusive and comprehensive session aimed at solving the most common and less obvious alarm occurrences to leave you with the confidence and skills to overview, diagnose, and ultimately fix most fault issues relating to heat pumps and ancillary components. 

Successful canditates can apply for trusted technician status which can result in Ecoforest referral opportunities.

How long is the course?

This course is 2 days in total.

Course Prerequisites

This course has the following pre-requisites:

• Experience of domestic or comercial heating installations
• Previous attendance of our Ecoforest Academy Installation Course

How will I learn and be assessed?

This will come in the form of theory and practical training

What do I need to bring to the course?

• Suitable clothing and footwear for the practical training area

There will be a buffet-style lunch on the date.
